Child benefit
Child benefit is paid to your parents on a monthly basis. Child benefit is € 190 for the first and second child, € 196 for the third child and € 221 for each additional child. During your studies, your parents will receive child benefit until you are 25 years old. You can find more information about child benefit here.
Necessary documents for over 18-year-olds:
- Proof of all income and earnings
- Certificate of enrolment
- Every year, the certificate of enrolment for the current semester must be submitted by October at the latest
Child benefit is applied for at the responsible family benefits office (depending on your place of residence, Familienkasse Neubrandenburg). The application must be submitted in writing. Applications are available at the family benefits office or at www.familienkasse.de.
